Ocular Disorders In Jabal Moya

Abstract

Abstract

The aim of this study was to determine the ocular disorder at Jabal Moya in Sennar state.

Subjects included in this study were (216), 50.46 % were males and 49.54% were females, their ages ranged between 5-94 year old with mean of 54.24±18.45 years.

The information was gathered by clinical examination (routine eye examination) and interviews to all subjects. The selected subjects attending the field work program of fourth class of the faculty of optometry and visual science at Jabal Moyah in Sennar state during may 2009 which include the training of the student and providing service for the community. The collected data were statistically analyzed to give the means and standard deviations of prevalence and percentages.

Refractive errors were found to be 34.73%.Cataract represent the highest frequency of ocular abnormalities 43.52%, Corneal Opacity 3.25% and Glaucoma were found to be 9.26%. However, Conjunctivitis were found to be 5.55%, Allergys 6.02% and Diabetic Retinopath 1.39%.Trachoma2.31%, Retinitis Pegmantosa was also found but in lower frequency 0.46%.

الخلاصة

الهدف من هذه الدراسة تقييم عيوب العين في منطقة جبل موية في ولاية سنار .

تم الفحص على عينة تتكون من 216 عنصراً من الجنسين 50.49% منهم ذكور و 49.54% منهم إناث متوسط أعمارهم 54.24 وبإنحراف معياري 18.45.

جُمعت البيانات عن طريق الفحوصات (الفحوصات الأولية للعين) والمقابلات وتم اختيارهم من الحالات التي تم فحصها أثناء التدريب الحقلي الذي قام به طلاب الفرقة الرابعة بكلية علوم البصريات ـ جامعة النيلين في جبل موية بولاية سنار خلال شهر مايو 2009 م والتي تشمل تدريب الطلاب وخدمة المجتمع. تم تحليل البيانات إحصائياً لتعطي الوسط الحسابي والإنحراف المعياري.

وقد وجد أن نسبة الأخطاء البصرية الشائعة 34.73% وقد سجلت عتامة العدسة البلورية (الساد) أعلى نسبة من بين الأمراض الأخرى 43.52% وعتامة القرنية 3.25% وإرتفاع ضغط العين (الزرق) 9.26% وإلتهاب الملتحمة 5.55 % والحساسية 6.02%، تليف الشبكية بالسكري 1.39% تراكوما 2.31% وقد سجل الإنخضاب الشبكي أقل نسبة 0.46%.
