This study aimed to discover the sort of free time and ho\v to spend
it and its relation with Academic and Psychological needs for Male
and female Students secondary school in Kassala that may help Parents
on their Grown up to enjoy their free time
To achieve this, » 4
The researcher used descriptive method and select its samples
randomly of( 300) students from the Society .(males & females ) from
the same age 2"‘! Year — Kassala higher sec School . (2002- 2003)
The researcher used direct questions beside some information from the
formal records of the school regarding their general Levels and
manners.
And researcher used statistic for analyzing the Data of the "research and
(SPSSPC) were used and T test for different grow up. »
The study reached the Following;
1- The degree reached was over arranged conceming the side of
cultural or social activities and under average concerning choirs
and sports activities. '
2- No differences betweeii girls and boys in spending their free time
concem the social and cultural activities , and found difference
- consusly (0.001 in the field of sports infavour ofinale students
3- (A) No out standing difference in using- free — times -" inrcultural
— and psychological interests among girls and boys, second year,
higher sec. School - except in the fields of organizing, order,
control, looking, after and appearance.
(B) There is close ties in spending off - times — in social —
activities and the psychological needs among students except
the sale of the appearance. -
(C) There is regular relations between using free _— times in
technical activities and psychological -- interests among students ,
second year , higher secondary school — that that is all scales of
psychological — needs except the scales of, organizing, order,
Control, looking after appearance and SC.\(Ll£ll needs where no —
close relations between.
(D) No close or regular ties between making use of free — times
in spons and the psychological interests ofthe students except in
the scales ofindependence, achievements, appearance.
4_ (A) N0 clear cultural activities companicd with total scale of
the endure.
(B) There is regular relations between spending free — times in
social activities and the total - level - scale ofthe endure. '
(C) There is clear relation between spending free — titnes in the
technical field and the total level — scale ofthe personal endure.
(D) No clear ties between 'spendin g free — times — in the field of
sports and the total degree or level of personal endurance or hope.
5- There is opposite relations between spending free — times with the
scales of studying among students of sec. Year in the field of
technical and sport except the private scales of cultural and social
activities \vhere we find no clear ties .
6- There is a difference between Male and Female students in the
2"" year — higher secondary schools in there private endure that
infavour of the male — students who are more concemed in this
filed .
7- There is clear indications of differ between girls and boys (0.001)
in the sec. Year conceming their studying — results, that is infvour
of male — students
8..- There is no difference in the field of psychologicalneeds-among
male and female. Students except scales made for achievement in
favour of the male — students and the scale of the ties and
relations in favour of male — students. -
