GUIDING SYSTEM FOR BLIND AND VISUALLY IMPARIED PEOPLE

Abstract

ABSTRACT

Blind and visually impaired people represent a large group in our community. The loss of eyesight causes to them difficulties in performing their daily duties, especially crossing the road, which poses a danger to them. The smart Stick comes as proposed solution to enable them to identify the world around in order to increase the life quality of blind person because white cane has some problem which as, it has the limitation to be used. This smart system consist to ultrasonic sensor to detect obstacle infront the user in rang from 3cm-130cm and alert user by sound. Moreover humidity sensor used to sense water and avoid user by turn on vibrator motor when the value of humidity greater than 50%. other feature is that LDR sensor used to informs the people around the user about the blind person by automatically turn on LED at the darkness.

الاشخاص المكفوفون وضعاف البصر يمثلون مجموعة كبيرة في مجتعنا. فقدهم للبصر يسبب لهم صعوبات في اداء واجباتهم اليومية بالاخص عبورهم للطريق مما يشكل خطرا عليهم. العصا الذكية هي الحل المقترح لتمكنهم من التعرف على العالم حولهم من اجل زيادة جودة الحياة بالنسبة للمكفوفين لان العصا التقليدية لديها العديد من المشاكل من ضمنها محدودية استخدامها. يتكون هذا النظام الذكي من حساس موجات فوق صوتية للكشف عن العوائق امام المستخدم بمدى من ( 3cm-130cm). وعلاوة على ذلك حساس الرطوبة يستخدم لاستشعار المياه وتنبيه المستخدم بموتور اهتزاز اذا كانت قيمة الرطوبة اعلى من 50%. ميزة اخرى هي حساس الضوء يستخدم لاعلام الناس حول المستخدم بانه مكفوف عن طريق الاضاءة في الظلام.
