Abstract

This is no doubt that the attempt to study any of the outstanding and controversial issues, is an attempt accompanied with many risks that require complete neutrality and objectivity to be able to reach realistic results contribute to the academic field. This analytical research is an attempt to address an important and vital study towards the future of legislative power in "Kingdom of Bahrain", in the territory lies in the fierce at all levels. So it is necessary to deal with geopolitical concepts and geographical boundaries of this region. As well as it economy, geographical strata of population, governance system and reforms efforts in charting the political history of this region. This research attempts to deal the general concept of democracy as well as methods and means in order to be able to apply these concepts on Bahraini model of Democracy at the same time with it deals the cultural democracy of the Bahraini society, its types and it democratically methods inside the classical societies. The research as well looks at legislative and constitutional process since the exit of British colonialists at the beginning of early 1970s. Then it looks at the first constitutions and the first legislative house and the situations that follow. As well reviews the influencing factors on the legislative and constitutional powers and the movement of the opposition which led to the upraising and the attendant reactions. It is necessary to review the political movements and its ideologies. Then monitor the political moves within the Bahraini society. After that the research investigates the situations accompanied with the issue of "National Charter" and 2002 constitution. Then discuss the legal issues of the "National Charter" and the 2002 Constitution. Then· I compared between the 2002 and 1973 constitutions in order to trace the positives and the negatives in each. Later on we looked at the parliament and municipal elections, their outcomes in term of the change within the government. At the conclusion, this research is an attempt to be analytical study toward this small country in term of its size, great country in term of its history and its political struggle. This will open the way to our people in Arab Nation to document their experiences. The researcher end with many outcomes and recommendations.
