Abstract
ABSTRACT
i : The Factors Affecting the Achievement of the
Educational Objectives of The School Subjects "Fiqh"
and "Aquida" "Creed" and "Islamic Jurisprudence " for
the Pupils of Grades 7 and 8 in the Basic Level in
Khartoum province.
Objectives: The objectives of the study are to identify the
factors which affect the achievement of the educational
objectives of the school subjects "Creed" and "Islamic
jurisprudence" and decide the reasons which caused the
shortcomings in the educational output of the two
subjects.
The analysis started by asking the following central
question "How to identify the factors related to the
school curriculum and teachers competencies affecting
the achievement of the educational objectives of the
school subjects "Creed" and "Islamic jurisprudence "
Other sub — questions appeared from this central
question .
To answer these questions the researcher prepared a
questionnaire for the teachers of the two subjects.
The questionnaire is divided into two parts: Part one:
The school curriculum which included the content,
methodology , teaching aids , teacher and the
environment .Part two: The professional competencies
of the teacher.
The most important Findings of the Study were: = Only
27 % of "lslamic jurisprudence "teachers are
educational bachelor holders. The others were holding
different university degrees far from the two subjects.
The mean of all the elements of part one "curriculum
components" was less than 2.5 which means that the
elements of the curriculum have a great effect on the
objectives .
Many teachers emphasize verbal teaching , like board
usage and oral discussion rather than using real objects
samples and educational technology.
Modern teaching techniques like problem solving ,
brain storming and collective learning were not used.
Many classrooms were over crowded which makes it
difficult for the teacher to do the follow — up for the
written work of the pupils.
The teacher role has significant statistical differences
related to the teacher experience.
The most important suggestions are:
More attention should be given to teacher training and
bettering their economical conditions. Providing them
with the basic knowledge and the major principles on
which the curriculum of the basic school was built.
To enable them and make them aware of the objectives
of their school subjects and the ways of setting
behavioral objectives.
More attention should be given to the content of
"Fiqh" "Islamic jurisprudence" "and Aquida" "creed" as a
school subjects and making amendments of the
curriculum regularly.
Introducing new techniques, modern teaching aids and
more practical Work.
Teachers should attend more training courses in
modern educational technology to cope with the latest
developments in this field .
The most important suggestions were:~
Additional researches related to the subject "Fiqh"
Islamic " jurisprudence" should be carried out .
