Abstract
Abstract
This research aims at evaluating time dimention in the core of
"Man and the universe " at the basic stage education it also aims to
high light , the objectives of the core of " Man and universe " and its
relationship with time dimention and the extent of the teachers
cognizance with the objectives of time dimention in the metioned
core.
The researcher used the descriptive method and adopted the
questionare and interview as tools of research to gather data
pertaining to the problem of the research . The sample of the
research included (150) teachers ( male and female ) of the basic
education stage in White Nile state . The data have been analyzed by
using frequencies and percentages then analyzingthe results a nd
discussing them . .
From the results that the researcher has obtained are the
following ones : =
0 The objectives of the core " Man and universe " consist of
the objectives of history with a perceptage of " 88% " .
0 The objectives of the core of " Man and universe are
related " 88.7% " to the objectives of the basic education
stage .
0 The contents of the text books of the core of " Man and the
universe " are in conformity with the objectives of the
basic education .
0 Teachers need to be trained especially to teach " Man and
universe " core .
0 The base on which the selection of the contents of
curriculum and the integration of subjects and the aim of
developing the synthetic thinking .
0 " Man and universe " core works towards inculcating the
educational values that are very important and educating
the young in the spirit of caring for the lofty morals . '
0 The core provides the pupils with a perfect and integrated
knowledge of that environment in which they live and the
extent of the influence of this environment on their
‘behaviors tendencies and what values and concept instil

In .the light, of the results of the research here are’ several
recommendations and suggestions for future researches to tackle :
The teacher of the core should be cognizant with all the
dimentions of the core " Time , space , scientific and social "
so as to teach the core properly .' I ‘ ’_‘ t
The. time dimention in the firstiphase should be"clear and
completely homogeneous with the other dimentions so that the
teacher may be able to distinguish it. ' '
The ratio "of time -dimention should be increased in the
syllabuses of the basic education stage , especially in the fifth
and sixth years books .
A separate research should be conducted to cover every
individual phase o f t he t hree p hases o f t he b asic stage a nd
time dimension should be catered for properly .
A research should be conducted to explain the importance of
relating the core of " Man and universe " to the Sudanese
environment and the daily life of the pupils .
The short period of study given in the core of , man and the
universe.
This time horizon leads to better and develop cogitation , deep
meditation and knowledge which is very important for
citizenship .
It is possible to use other methods of teaching history to quire
and come to the same results in this core .'
There are also many and different ways and method s of
evaluation which suits the pupils of this age and fulfill the
aims and hit the target.
