Abstract

This research examines the impact of public spending on economic growth in Sudan during the period from 2010 to 2018. The research problem is to answer the following main question: what is the impact of public spending on economic growth in Sudan? The significant importance of the research is that public spending plays an important role in enhancing economic growth in the country. The main hypothesis of the research is: there is a positive relationship between public spending and economic growth in Sudan during period of interest. The results show that there is positive relationship between public spending and economic growth, and positive relationship between government expenditure on productive sectors and economic growth during the period of interest. Based on the findings, the researcher suggests that government have to increase the public spending on productive sectors to achieve high economic growth in Sudan as well increases the training of human capital in the country/

مستخلص تناول البحث دور الإنفاق العام على النمو الاقتصادي في السودان (2010-2018م) .تمثلت مشكلة البحث في الإجابة على السؤال الرئيسي ماهو دور الإنفاق العام على النمو الاقتصادي في السودان .هدف البحث إلى عدة أهداف أهمها الوقوف على مشاكل النمو الاقتصادي في السودان .يفترض البحث أن للإنفاق العام دور في النمو الاقتصادي خلال فترة الدراسة .تم إتباع المنهج التحليلي الوصفي لإظهار النتائج . تم التوصل إلى عدد من النتائج أهمها أن هنالك أثر إيجابي للإنفاق العام على النمو الاقتصادي في السودان خلال فترة الدراسة . بناءاً عليه أوصي الباحث بزيادة الإنفاق العام وضبطه ليتناسب مع الإيرادات العامة حتي لا يكون هنالك عجز يؤثر على النمو الاقتصادي في السودان, التطبيق الفعال للسياسة المالية الملائمة خاصة في جانب الإنفاق العام على القطاعات الإنتاجية ذات المردود العالي.
