REDUCING Bit error rate BY USING HAMMING CODE IN A BLUETOOTH WIRELESS SYSTEM

Abstract

ABSTRACT In the process of communication, the basic need is to transmit and receive the data free from errors through channel. Due to the advancement in the communication systems many efforts have been made to meet the demand for more reliable and efficient techniques for error detection and correction in the received data. This project provides a wireless digital communication system with Bluetooth module technology to reduce BER by using hamming code to detect and correct errors in the receiver device. It was found that by using hamming code error can be detected and corrected and the BER is considerably reduced.

المستخلص تهدف عمليات الإتصال بشكل اساسي الى نقل البيانات من الجهاز المرسل الى المستقبل دون ان تتعرض هذة البانات لاي نوع للضجيج خلال عبورها في قنوات الاتصال المختلفة. وبسبب التطور في انظمة الإتصال اصبح من الضروري اضافت تقنات تقوم بالكشف عن الأخطاء في البيانات المستقبلة ومعالجة هذة الأخطاء. في هذا المشروع تم تصميم نظام إتصال رقمي لاسلكي باستخدام تقنية البلوتوث, ويطبق خوارزمية(Hamming) للتقليل من معدل الأخطاء في البيانات المستقبلة. وقد وجد ان النظام يقوم بالكشف عن الأخطاء في الجهاز المستقبل وتصحيحها وبالتالي انخفاض معدل الخطاء في البيانات المستقبلة.
