Enhancement of Video Streaming over Wireless Networks

Abstract

ABSTRACT

As the communication world is trying to become completely running in wireless, demanding uninterrupted access to information anytime and anywhere with better quality, high speed, increased bandwidth and reduced cost. Wireless resources are expected to be insufficient due to increasing of wireless services and from this point of view application which consuming great amount of resource like video streaming is becoming a critical issue. This thesis will focus on methods enhancing the quality of video streaming over wireless networks in existence of resource constrained by constructing a software tool to help in advising suitable methods and fitting parameters so as to enhance video streaming.

مستخلص البحث في ظل التوجه الحالي في عالم الاتصالات والحادب لنشر وتمكين الاعتماد على الاتصالات اللاسلكية أصبحت مسائل استمرارية الوصول للمعلومات وعدم مقاطعة هذا الوصول في أي وقت وأي مكان مع ضمان الجودة والسرعة وتقليل التكلفة متطلبات ضرورية وملحة، ومما لا شك فيه أن تزايد الخدمات اللاسلكية سوف يواجه بشح الموارد المتاحة ومن هذا المنظور فسوف تشكل التطبيقات – مثل تطبيقات نقل وسريان الفيديو عبر الشبكة - والتي تحتاج لقدر كبير من الموارد تهديدا ومشكلة حرجة يتوجب التصدي الجاد لها. يركز هذا البحث على مسألة تحسين عملية نقل وسريان الفيديو خلال الشبكات اللاسلكية في وجود القيود المتعلقة بتوافر مصادر وموارد الشبكة وذلك من خلال تصميم أداة مساعدة تُعين في دراسة واقتراح المنهجية الملائمة للسريان والقيم المثلى للمعاملات بغرض تحسين عملية نقل وسريان الفيديو أملا في الإسهام في حل المشكلة.
