يتناول البحث الدور الذي تلعبه الصناعات الصغيرة في الاقتصاد ويستعرض أهم مميزات الصناعات الصغيرة ومدى ملائمة للسمات الاقتصادية للدول النامية واتبع الباحث منهج التحليل الوصفي بغرض إثبات فرضيات منها التعرف على حجم مساهمة الصناعات الصغيرة في الاقتصاد عبر قياس مساهمتها في الناتج المحلي للصناعة وفي حجم القوة العاملة المستخدمة فيها، ويتناول البحث الدور الذي لعبته سياسات الدولة الصناعية والاقتصادية على الصناعات الصغيرة وقياس أثرها عليها، وبجانب ذلك يطرح الباحث أهم المعوقات والمشاكل التي تواجه الصناعات الصغيرة في محاولة لإيجاد حلول عملية ممكنه التطبيق في ظل الظروف الاقتصادية السائدة، بغرض تمكين الصناعات الصغيرة من أن تلعب دور أكبر في التنمية الاقتصادية للدولة إذا تمت معالجة أهم هذه المعوقات إلا أن السياسات والإستراتيجيات الصناعية والاقتصادية الكلية والتي تعتبر أحد أهم الجهود الحكومية في مجال تدعيم وتشجيع الصناعات الصغيرة لم تكن كافية وتفتقر إلي الإلزامية والضعف في التطبيق، وبجانب وجوب إيجاد حلول فعالة لمشاكل مهمة منها ضعف البنية التحتية وعدم توفير مناطق جديدة مخصصة للصناعة ووجود فجوة كبيرة في تدريب وتأهيل العمالة كمورد تنموي أساسي، بالإضافة إلى معوقات أخرى منها التمويل والتسويق والجودة.

ABSTRACT This research is about the role played by small-scale industries and it's contribution into the economy and review the most important features of small-scale industries and the appropriateness of the attributes of economic developing countries. The researcher used the descriptive analysis approach in order to prove the research hypotheses and to identify the size of contribution of small-scale industries in the economy through the measurement of its contribution in the GNP of the local industry and in the size of the labor force used, the research also deals with the role played by state industrial policies and economic impacts on small industries and measure its impact on them, and beside it raises the most important obstacles and problems faced by small-scale industries in an attempt to find practical solutions can be implemented under the current economic conditions , in order to enable small industries that play a greater role in economic development if the state had will treated the most important of these obstacles , however, industrial policies and strategies in the macro-economic which are considered as one of the most important government efforts in strengthening and encouraging small industries were not enough and lacked the mandatory and suffered from weaknesses in the application, and have not until this day found effective solutions to important problems such as poor infrastructure, failure to provide new areas dedicated to industry and the presence of a large gap in the training and qualification of labor resource development is essential, as well as other constraints such as finance, marketing and quality.
