Abstract

Title of the research : synonymy , common expression ,and contradiction , ‘an analytical descriptive study between the Ancients and the modern . this research took up the study and the analysis ofthe following topics : In the first chapter : the definition and knowing the causes for its occurrence , and the views of scholars about it , and explanation of aspect of agreement and difference . In the second chapter : definition of the aspects of common expression linguistically and idiom - aticaly and the reason for its occurrence and the views of scholar about it and explanation of aspects of agreement and difference . In the third chapter : Definition of contradiction and the difference between contradiction and opposites and knowing the eason for its occurrence " linguistic and psychological " ; and scholars about this phenomenon and the views of the explanation of the aspects of agreement an on : the researcher summarized the tnost d difference . In the conclusi important results arrived by the study ; and the most important of which was the explanation of the meaning of these phenomena and knowing the aspects of agreement" and difference about them . The resent studies are more comprehensive than the old studies due to the availability of equiptnent that help modern scholars in this effort.
