Abstract
abstract
The study aims to determine self-Concept and its relation with
psychological adjustment towards the handicapped in Khartoum state.
The researcher in his organization to the research has classified it in six
terms:
First term: (introduction):
The researcher has shown its problem, purposes, importance, questions,
probabilities determinations, steps and terminologies.
Second terms (Study scientific Background):
In this, the researcher has shown the main definitions and theories that
conveyed self-Concept, the assistant aids if forming self-Concept.
self-Concept components, the definitions and theories has conveyed self-
Concept adjustment, the aims that has general affect in making self-adjustment,
the researcher has shown self-adjustment scales and the relationship between
self-Concept and self-adjustment.
The researcher has also shown the main definition in handicapped and
types of handicapped specifically and generally. The researcher has gained
much in determining the scales of self-Concept and the concept of psychological
adjustment.
The third term : (the previous studies):
In this, the researcher has shown little about the previous studies that has
been done in the scales of self-Concept and psychological adjustment and its
relation with other changes in both Arabic and foreign levels. The researcher has
gained in his establishing to self-Concept and psychological adjustment that has
been used in this research.
The Fourth term: (the curriculum and procedures):
The researcher has shown it objectively to the curriculum and the
procedures that he has followed in this research, the research has followed the
descriptive curriculum and its aid represented as essential one.
The fifth term : (Discussing and classifying the results):
The researcher has discussed and classified the information's, he
collected it by using different methods as, central measures (medium)
differentiated measures (Standard deviation) and classifying double differentiate
to reach the final results.
The sixth Term :(the clouded result, recommendations and suggestions).
The researcher has shown a conclusion indented the results that he has
reached.
The introduction some of these recommendations and the suggestions. The
study has in duded many important supplementary represented in the
measurements of self-Concept and psychological adjustment that the
researcher built and used its in this research.
The researcher has reached many results:
1.There is a connected relation between self-Concept and self-
adjustment towards the handicapped measured to reach (0.001).
2.There is no reaction between the levels of high degree of
psychological adjustment towards the handicapped.
The researcher has presented many results that has reached it to show
some of this recommendations:
1.
The schools, institutions and the qualifications centers have to co-
operate with the handicapped to help them in finding different methods and
activities if is conceptual or bodily and share them or encourage their
hobbies. To lay cultural programs continuously so the viewed broadcast,
hearted or readable have to share in order to show the activities of the
handicapped as members in the community, which had to develop the self-
Concept and good psychological adjustment.
2.To do an advertisement that declared by the United Nations
corporation in 1988
