Abstract

The research problem may be represented by answering the following questions: "What is the, extent of the e~fficie'ncye‘of the‘ {lS€ of educational aids, in the educational process in the basic education stage, in Omdurman Province. . The study aimed at knowing the tendencies of the male and female teachers in the basic education state, about the role ofthe use ofthe educational aids, in the basic education stage. The researcher used the descriptive approach for the statistical processes, the analysis of data and their discussion. The questionnaire was used as a tool for data collection. The forms ofthe questionnaire were distributed over (\’-) male and female teachers in the basic education stage, who represented the sample ofstudy. \ ,t The most important findings of the study are summarized below: V- \] The use of educational aids has an effective role on the performance of the teacher. That is because their use solves may educational problems. *] There is the deficiency of educational aids in the basic education stage. The locally manufactured aids are more used. But, the high technology aids, Qf high expenditure are less used. ' Y] There are constraints which prohibit the use ofeducational aids in the hasic education stage, l i] The educational aids have an effective role in creating thc motive for acquisition amongst pupils. The most important recommendations arc as follows: 0 There is a need for the use of the educational aids for the educational process, to remove the difficulties which face the teacher and the pupil. 0 Teachers mustlhe trained on the use ofhtlie educational aids »- and the production and manufacturing ol‘ educational aids from the materials in the local environment. They must also he made aware ofthe majoriroles ofthese aids in the educational process. ¢ To operate for the removal of the constraints which prohibit the use ofthe educational aids.
