SYMBOLIC IMAGES IN GEORE ORWELL’S (ANIMAL FARM)

Abstract

This study looks at symbolism in George Orwell's famous novel

Animal Farm. The goal of the study is to show how characters and

events in the novel stand for people who played different roles in the

Russian revolution and the events of the revolution itself. The study

draws upon a primary resource (the novel of "Animal Farm") and

focuses on symbolism representation in the novel. It also concentrates on

what message the writer intends to send through the novel as it is not

mainly about the Russian revolution, but a cautionary message to all the

political regimes throughout the world. The study proves that, as the pigs

did in Animal Farm, power corrupts and absolute power corrupts

absolutely. Although all the animals have revolted against the human

oppressors, only pigs have benefited from the revolution. The situation

in the farm became even worse than it had been during Mr. Jones time.مستخلصالدراسة

ان ھذه الدراسة تنظر إلى الرمزیة فى روایة جورج اورویل الشھیرة حدیقة الحیوانات. ان

الھدف من الدراسة ھو لعرض كیف ان الشخصیات والاحداث فى الروایة یمثلون الاشخاص

الذین لعبوا ادوارا مختلفة فى الثورة الروسیة واحداث الثورة ذاتھا. ان المصدر الاولى للدراسة

ھو روایة "حدیقة الحیوانات" وتركز على التمثیل الرمزى فى الروایة. وانھا تركز ایضا على

ماھیة الرسالة التى ینوى الكاتب ارسالھا من خلال الروایة التى ھى لیست للثورة الروسیة بشكل

اساسى لكنھا رسالة تحذیریة لكل الانظمة السیاسیة حول العالم. تبرھن الدراسة انھ كما فعل

الخنازیر فى مزرعة الحیوانات, فان السلطة تفسد والسلطة المطلقة تفسد بصورة مطلقة. بالرغم

من ان كل الحیوانات ثارْوا ضد البشر الظالمین الا انھ فقط الخنازیر ھم الذین استفادوا من

الثورة. ان الوضع فى المزرعة اصبح اسوا من الذى كان فى عھد مستیر جونز.
