تدرس هذه الرسالة (أثر الجهاد الإسلامي في اتساع الدولة الأموية)، في القرون الإسلامية الباكرة ,حيث نتعرف من خلالها غلى التطور الذي شهده نظام الجهاد في العصر الأموي, حيث نلاحظ عملية بناء الرباط حول الثغور والتطور الذي طرأ على المؤسسات الإدارية والمؤسسات الأمنية. تحتوي هذه الرسالة على مقدمة وخمسة فصول وخاتمة، تناقش المقدمة أسباب اختيار الموضوع وأهميته ومنهج الدراسة وخطة البحث مع ذكر مشكلة البحث. يتناول الفصل الأول التعريف بخلفاء الدولة الأموية ,حيث يعتبر معاوية بن ابي سفيان هو المؤسس للدولة الأموية. أما الفصل الثاني فيتناول فتوحات الدولة الأموية في بيزنطة وأفريقيا, والدور الذي لعبه قادة الدولة الأموية. جاء الفصل الثالث مخصصاً لفتوحات الدولة الأموية في أوربا ,مبيناً كيف دخل الإسلام الى أوربا. تناول الفصل الرابع فتوحات الدولة الأموية في آسيا, ووصول عمليات الفتح الى حدود الصين. ناقش الفصل الخامس عوامل انتشار الإسلام، عن طريق الدعوة الى الله, والعوامل التي ساهمت في انتشار الإسلام. ثم ختمت الرسالة بخاتمة تبين أهم النتائج التي توصلت اليها, مع ذكر قائمة بأهم المصادر والمراجع.

Abstract This treatise studies (the effect of Islamic jihad on the expansion of the Umayyad state), in the early Islamic centuries, through which we learn about the development that the jihad regime witnessed in the Umayyad era, where we note the process of building ribat around the holes and the development of administrative institutions and security institutions. This thesis contains an introduction, five chapters and a Conclusion. The introduction discusses the reasons for choosing the topic, its importance, the study methodology, and the research plan, while mentioning the research problem. The first chapter deals with introducing the caliphs of the Umayyad state, as Muawiya ibn Abi Sufyan is considered the founder of the Umayyad state. The second chapter deals with the conquests of the Umayyad dynasty in Byzantium and Africa, and the role played by the leaders of the Umayyad dynasty. The third chapter was devoted to the conquests of the Umayyad state in Europe, showing how Islam entered Europe. The fourth chapter dealt with the conquests of the Umayyad dynasty in Asia, and the arrival of the conquest operations to the borders of China. The fifth chapter discusses the factors behind the spread of Islam, through the call to God, and the factors that contributed to the spread of Islam. Then the letter was concluded with a conclusion indicating the most important findings that it had reached, with a list of the most important sources and references
