Abstract
Boiler is one of the most important equipment in any power plants which require continuous monitoring and inspection at frequent intervals. There are possibilities of errors at measuring and various stages involved with human workers. So in this project (burner management system) or BMS has been developed by using PLC and SCADA .programmable logic controller or PLC is used to control of instruction for the implementing function such as sequence of operation on this system . SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) is used to monitor the burner system for Temperature, pressure and water level. Also protection system has been installed to do shutdown for system when event of a defect to any one of the elements of the system screens are designed to clarify the dangers and recorded in the archive. To increase labor productivity, to reduce labor cost, to mitigate the effects of labor shortages, To reduce or remove routine manual and clerical tasks, to improve worker safety, to improve product quality, to reduce manufacturing lead time, to accomplish what cannot be done manually, to avoid the high cost of not automating.
