dc.description.abstract | ABSTRACT Upper Jurassic to Lower Cretaceous non-marine strata of the Blue Nile Rift Basin in the southeast Sudan have been palynologically investigated. A total of fifty nine cutting samples, selected from three wells namely HZ-1, HZ-2 and HZ-3 were analysed using standard palynological techniques which involved HCl and HF acids to remove carbonate and silicate minerals respectively. The palynomorphs assemblages identified in the present investigation span the Late Jurassic and Early Cretaceous age. The pteridophytic spores are the most diverse, but Gymnosperm pollen and freshwater algae are less abundant. Based on the stratigraphic distribution of marker species of spores and pollen, identified in this study, three informal palynozones, covering the Late Jurassic-Early Neocomian through the Aptian have been proposed. The identified zones are designated Assemblage Zone I (Late Jurassic-Early Neocomian), Assemblage Zone II (Neocomian- Barremian) and Assemblage Zone III (Barremian- Aptian). Assemblage Zone I is highlighted by the first down occurrence of occurrence of Ischyosporites pseudoreticulatus, Concavissimisporites punctatus, Alisporites sp. A, and the presence Biretisporites potoinaei, Circulina parva, Concavissimisporites variverrrucattus, Pilosisporites trichopapillosus, Deltodospora psilostomata, Ephedripites regularis, Deltodospora diaphana.Other species also has been found. Assemblage Zone II is recognized identify by the first downhole occurrence of Cicatricosisporites dorogensis, Deltoidospora diaphana, and the presence Cicatricosisporites hallei, Callialasporites dampieri, and Araucariacites australis. Assemblage Zone III is recognized by occurrence of Cicatricosisporites hallei, Concavissimisporites informis, Concavissimisporites variverrucatus, Verrucosisporites rotundus, Eucommiidites troedssonii, Classopollis torosus and the presence of Araucariacites australis. The occurrence of abundant fern spores and Classopollis spp. in the Late Jurassic-Early Neocomian indicates the prevalence of pronounced humid conditions interrupted by seasonal arid climate during this time interval. iii المستخلص هذه الدراسة تمت في منطقة حوض النيل االزرق في جنوب شرق السودان, ذات البيئات غير البحرية. حيث شملت الدراسة تسعة وخمسون عينة فتاتية جمعت من ثالثة آبار وهي تمثل رسوبيات الجوراسي األعلى - الطباشيري األسفل. أوضحت الدراسه بأن أبواغ التريديات هي األكثر تنوعآ ووفرة وبدرجه أقل حبوب لقاح تنسب إلى معراة البذور, وطحالب المياه العذبه. إعتمادآ على المدى الطبقي للمستحاثات المرشدة, تم تحديد ثالثة نطاقات تجمع حياتيه نطاق التجمع I- Jurassic Late في. Barremian- Aptian III التجمع نطاق وNeocomian- Barremian II التجمع نطاق, Early Neocomian, نطاق التجمع I أول ظهور من أعلى البئر لألنواع: Concavissimisporites, pseudoreticulatus Ischyosporites Circulina ,Pilosisporites trichopapillosus :مثل أخرى أنواع ووجود punctatus Alisporites sp. A, ظهور أول II التجمع نطاق. , Biretisporites potoinaei و, parva Concavissimisporites variverrrucattus من أعلى البئر لألنواع: diaphana Deltoidospora, dorogensis Cicatricosisporites ووجود أنواع أخرى مثل: dampirei Callialasporites وaustralis Araucariacites ونطاق التجمع III تميزه البالينومورفات االتية: Concavissimisporites informis, Concavissimisporites Cicatricosisporites hallei, variverrucatus, Verrucosisporites rotundus, Eucommiidites troedssonii, Classopollis Araucariacites australisو torosus وفرة وتنوع التريديات وحبوب اللقاح التي تنسب إلى معراة البذورمثل: Classopollis في ) Early-Jurassic Late Neocomian )يدل على سيادة الظروف الرطبة تتخللها مواسم جافة. | en_US |
