Women in Reproductive Age Knowledge and Attitudes regarding Domestic Violence against Women at Alddikhinat (Jable Awliya, locality 2017)

Abstract

Abstract Background: Violence against women is one of the major public health problems in both developed and developing worlds. Is highly sensitive area. Objectives: The aim of this study was to investigate the women knowledge and attitude regarding domestic violence against women. Methods: This was a community cross sectional study conducted in Alddikhinat, Jable Awliya, locality (n= 114 women). Data were collected using self structured questionnaires to gather data by face to face inter-view, and the analysis was performed using the Statistical Package for Social Science version 19. Results: The respondent has 73.7% right knowledge about definition of the domestic violence against women. With prevalence of domestic violence, physical, emotional and sexual violence was 15.8%, 14%, and 2.6% respectively in this study. the study was estimated the immediate action against domestic vio-lence Turn to parents by55.3%.The participants have positive attitude regarding a married woman re-fuse to have sex with her husband in some situation. Conclusion: It revealed women's high level of knowledge about domestic violence, which nevertheless, did not Protect these women from experiencing the violence. The study shows the women has high knowledge About the impact of domestic violence.

مستخلص الدراسة خلفية: يعتبر العنف ضد المرأة أحد المشاكل الرئيسية في مجال الصحة العامة في دول العالم المتقدمة النمو والنامية على حد سواء. وتعتبر مشكلة العنف منطقة حساسة للغاية. الاهداف : وقد كان الهدف من هذه الدراسة قياس معرفة المرأة وموقفها اتجاه العنف المنزلي ضد المرأة. مناهج الدراسة : وقد كانت هذه الدراسة مجتمعية وصفية , أجريت الدراسة فى الدخينات محلية جبل اولياء وكان عدد العينة 114امرأة. وقدتم جمع البيانات عن طريق استبيان مصمم بواسطة الباحث ملأ عن طريقة المقابلة الشخصية ,وتم تحليل البيانات باستخدام برنامج الحزمة الإحصائية للعلوم الاجتماعية نسخة19. النتائج: وقد بلغت نسبة معرفة النساء بتعريف العنف المنزلي ضد المرأة73.7%, وبلغ معدل العنف البدني والعاطفي والجنسي 15.8 %, %14, 2.6% على التوالي في هذه الدراسة. ووجدت الدراسة أن العمل الفوري المتخذ ضد العنف المنزلي هو التوجه إلى الآباء بنسبة 55.3%. وقد وجدت الدراسة إن لدى النساء سلوك ايجابي اتجاه رفض ممارسة الجنس مع الزوج في بعض الأحيان . الخلاصة: وقد كشفت الدراسة ان المرأة على معرفة عالية بالعنف المنزلي ورغم ذلك لم يحميها من التعرض للعنف.وقد عرضت الدراسة ان نسبة معرفة المرأة عالية بالأثار الجانبية للعنف المنزلي ضد المرأة.
