Abstract
Abstract i
This study has been conducted through the direct analysis and
evaluation of the basic educational competency for teachers of
Arabic language in Sudan , with special stress on greater Darfur
which is composed of the states for which is composed of states
of Southern, Northern, and Western of Darfur .
The study aimed at recognizing the basic educational
competency for teachers of Arabic language, the possibility of
securing optimum training, and the programs available for
Arabic language teachers in Sudan . Add to these, recognizing
the standard of the educational competency that are ultimately
needed for the successful continuation of the teachers of Arabic
language, under the currently available resources and the
assumed proposals for future development .
The importance of this research rests on the possibility of its
contribution to the production of programmers or proposals that
will educational requirements for teachers of Arabic language,
and that might also be helpful in qualifying and developing an
efficient cadre .
The research entails the possibility of exploring the trends of
teachers of Arabic language and the standpoints of their
directors about their performance in class.
The study has randomly taken representative sample from the
community of teachersses and teachers of (400) individuals, in
addition to the sample of the (24) directors which is representing
the whole community where the intention- method has been
used . The study has resulted in a group of results summed up as
follows :-
l-There is serious deficiency is the basic educational
competency for Arabic language teachers except in arare cases :
as no elements of lesson planning and evaluation methods are
found .
2-There are also problems relevant to the acquiring and
organizing of knowledge at the stages of preparation and
training, and this apparent in the weakness in keeping abreast of
development in the area of the specialty and the ability to deal
with the helpful mechanism of securing the required
qualification to cope up with knowledge .
3-The importance of the basic education competency for the
teachers of Arabic language is characterized as thus .
A-Mastering of Arabic language and its methodology .
B-Identification and wording objectives .
C-Methods of applying the modem infomiation technology and
the different methods of evaluation .
On the light of the results obtained, the following
recommendation have been passed :
1-The necessity ofre-programing of the on-the-job training and
stressing on the practical educational programmers, especially in
the field of Arabic language.
2- The programs for the preparation and training of teachers
should be setup according to the requirements of training and on
the light of the academic, cultural, and educational competency.
