Abstract

Abstract This study is entitled Symbol in Sayab's Poetry. The thesis falls into three parts . The first part deals with the concept of symbol ,symbolism and legend in Arabic literature emphasizing the main features. The second part explores the symbol in Sayab's poetry and the emergence of symbolism in the Contemporary Arabic Poetry. The Third part gives an intensive artistic study of symbolism in Sayab's poetry reflecting the significance and the impact of symbol in imagination, image and warding.
