Abstract

Abstract The study dealt with the problems facing the surrogate mother for children without parental care from the point of view of social work, and the research problem appeared in the problems facing surrogate mothers, and the study aimed to identify these problems in addition to identifying the reality of surrogate families and their role in caring for these children. The researcher relied on the case study method in this study as a descriptive and analytical study, and the researcher used a set of focus discussions, interviews and questionnaires as tools for data collection, in addition to coexistence observation. Among the most important findings of the research is the stability of children without parental care in alternative families with a rate of 52.5%, and there is no requirement to pass psychological tests for the surrogate mother within the conditions of approval to obtain a child from the home as temporary sponsorship, in addition to the insufficient amount of money provided by the home for the child and his needs, with a percentage 82.5% The recommendations came in light of the results of the need to intensify the educational role of surrogate mothers, in addition to selecting a qualified surrogate mother. ‫و‬
