dc.description.abstractAbstract This research introduces the significant problems in three dimensional graph drawing, which is, the occlusions of the vertices and edges. Particularly, in the viewing of the three-dimensional graphs drawings, which are particularly challenging due to the vagueness in understandability and readability introduced, by hiding some information of graph drawings. In this research, force directed approaches, more specifically, Fruchterman and Reingold algorithm, which is included in Gephi software; are used to address these problems of occlusions for two models of graphs; vertex-vertex occlusions and edge-edge occlusions to define good viewing by automatically calculating three dimensional graphs drawing for a general three-dimensional graphs drawings that generated from the available graphs datasets, in most the implementations of the algorithm for the three dimensional graph drawings are treated equally; that is, the graphs are allowed to expand in all directions to minimize the total attractive and repulsive forces of the system satisfying aesthetics criteria. The presented models have been evaluated , for the goodness of viewing of three dimensional graph drawings, that includes the yielded graph drawings of the applying the Fruchterman and Reingold which conform to aesthetics criteria, in addition, the modularity metrics is executed to differentiate between graph visualization prior and after the applicability of Fruchterman and Reingold algorithm by Gephi software, the given results are mostly explain clearly, the difference of the value of the modularity measure which indicate tending to maximizing the value after applying the algorithm ; that means more readability and understandability of the graph drawing for the occluded graph. Graphical representations of modularity measure are generated to represent the distribution of graph; they explained that , the graph drawings are neater. This study is hoped to be the initiation of further studies which will investigate the possibility ofen_US
