dc.description.abstractThe National Corporation for Antiquities and Museums (NGAM) has been conducting an archaeological survey and excavation in the region endangered by the project of Sitite and Atbara Dam in eastem Sudan between 2010 and 2013. More than 44 archaeological sites were recorded, dated from the prehistoric period to the tlthman colonization, between lllilaga to Zahana in the end of the lake in sslnn length. Some archaeological sites have been chosen for excavation, as a settlement dated to the Neolithic period. Also, some cemeteries excavated which roughly dated to late periods, and it was formd that some graves composed different types aml bun'al customs, compared with the Gash culture.en_US
