Stability of A Linear System with Gearbox Having Backlash Nonlinearity

Abstract

ABSTRACT This thesis is talking about mechanical system which was found linear but the introduce of gearbox made the system nonlinear due the harmonics generated due to backlash of gearbox. Backlash is one of the most important nonlinear phenomena that produce harmonics which are found in any control system with gearbox The system found has two limit cycles when gearbox introduced so the system became unstable. The performance has been examined using the MATLAB software. Describing function Method has been used to analysis the system in conjugate with reduction gain method to reach to linearity with aid of MATLAB software.

المستخلص هذه الأطروحة تتحدث عن النظام الميكانيكي الذي تم العثور عليه خطيا ولكن عند إدخال علبة التروس جعل النظام غير خطي بسبب التوافقيات المتولدة بسبب رد فعل عنيف لعلبة التروس. الخلوص (Backlash) هو واحد من أهم الظواهر اللاخطية التي تنتج التوافقيات الموجودة في أي نظام تحكم مع علبة التروس. النظام الذي تم العثور عليه له دورتان محددتان عند إدخال علبة التروس بحيث أصبح النظام غير مستقر. تم فحص الأداء باستخدام برنامج MATLAB. وتم استخدام الطريقة الوظيفة الوصفية (Describing function Method) لتحليل النظام وللحصول الاتزان بواسطة طريقة كسب التخفيض (Reduction gain) ايضا باستخدام برنامج .MATLAB
