Identification of Hand Washing and Surgical Attire Performance among Theater Room Staff Omdurman and Khartoum North Teaching Hospital

Abstract

Abstract Abstract -:Introduction Prevention and management of infection is the responsibility of all staff working in health and social care, and an integral element of patient safety programmers. It is applicable to all health and social care organizations, regardless of the patient setting or care provider. Infection prevention and control is the clinical application of microbiology in practice. -:AIM Identification of infection control measures practice among theater room staff in health providers. -:Methodology  Methods:- Cross sectional descriptive study was conducted among all staff in operation room by using observational descriptive chick list data (65) the result was analyzed by simple statistical method and SPSS program. 6  Results:- , the age distribution between (20 – 30) years, and it was distributed equally among gender. according to the job title assistant is common personnel in the theater room because two third of them (63.1% ) , while less than one third they were doctors , and nurses were only (4.6% ) among all the staff member , these finding indicated that those hospital did not provide job or include theater nurse in their job distribution. Furthermore, regarding all qualification of the study group, diploma degree was the major group member in these theater and they were assistant, while only less than one third from the staff have bachelor degree. According to the experience more than half of the study group (52.3 %) their experience more than three years, in beside of their experience but they knowledge may be weak or need to be updated because they have diploma degree as we know that practice should be supported by knowledge. In addition to that , less than half of the study group were not attended course in infection control, and only (3.1%) of them were a member in the infection control unit . also these another negative result which reflect bad indicator about the those staff to present their patient and them self to danger and risk of infection. 7 -:Conclusion After the analysis the data final results the gender distributed equally. Consuming the common is diploma degree .more over is not attended course of infection control. In addition to not available the nursing team in theater room. And common experience more than 3 years. Furthermore the common has problems in removing cloves. 8 ملخص الدراسه :- المقدمه :- الوقاية من العدوى هومسؤوليةجميع العاملين في مجال الصحة والرعاية الجتماعية ،وجزء ليتجزأ من برنامج سلمة المرضى. هذا ينطبق على جميع منظمات الرعاية الصحية والجتماعية ،بغض النظرعن وضع المريض أومقدم الرعاية الصحيه. الوقايةمن العدوى ومكافحتها هوالتطبيق السريري لعلم .. الحياءالدقيقة في الممارسةالعملية -: الهدف تحديد تدابير ممارسه مكافحة العدوى في غرفة العمليات بين مقدمي الخدمات . الصحيه المنهجيه :- قدأجريت دراسة مقطعية بين جميع الكوادر في غرفة العمليات باستخدام قائمة تحقق وتحليل النتيجة عن استخدام البرامج الحزمه الحصائيه للعلوم الجتماعيه النتائج :- وزعت اعمار الكوادر المشاركه في البحث وكانت الغالبيه بين ( 20 – 30 سنه ) . وكان التوزيع من ناحيه النوع حيث تساوت النتيجه مابين النوعين . كان وجود اصطاف التمريض داخل غلرفه العمليه ضعيفا جدا بنسبه 6.4 %حيث ان اكثر الكوادر هم من محضرين العمليات بنسبه ( 3.63 ( % معظم الكوادر المشاركه كان ممن يحملون شهاده الدبلوم بنسبه ( 60 ( % اما البكلريوس كانت بنسبه ( 7.27 ( % والماجستير بنسبه والدكتوراه بنسبه ( 2.6 . ( % معظم الكوادر كانو ممن لديهم خبره في ( % 2.6( العمل داخل غرفه العمليات أكثر من ثل ث سنوات بنسبه ( 3.52 ( % والقليه هم من لديهم خبره اقل من سنه بنسبه ( 2.6 . ( % معظم الكوادر كانت لديها شهادات في مكافحه العدوي بنسبه ( 2.49 . ( % اما بالنسبه للتطبيق العملي لغسل اليدين ( % وجد ان معظم الكوادر تعمل بطريقه صحيحه بنسبه ( 4.75 9 اما بالنسبه للبس قفازات اليدين كان معظم الكوادر يقوم بلبسها بطريقه صحيحه . بنسبه ( 7.87 .. ( % بالنسبه لخلع الملبس المعقمه كان معظمهم يقوم بخلعها بالطريقه الصحيحه بنسبه ( 5.81 ( % اما بالنسبه لخلع غطاء الفم والنف فكان . ( % معظمهم يقوم بالطريقه الصحيحه بنسبه ( 2.86 -: الخاتمه بعد ماتم تحليل البيانات الموجوده لمعظم الكوادر المشاركه في البحث كانت النتائج التي تم الوصول اليها ان معظم الكوادر المشاركه اعمارهم مابين ال ( 20 – 30 ( سنه . ومعظم الكوادر لديهم شهاده الدبلوم بنسبه ( 60 . ( % ووجد ان هنالك نقص في اصطاف . التمريض داخل غرفه العمليه حيث كانت نسبتهم ل تتجاوز ( 6.4 ( % فقط وجد ان معظم الكوادر ليس لديهم شهادات في مكافحه العدوي بنسبه ( 7.47 % ) . وجد ايضا ان معظم الكوادر لد يهم الخبره في العمل داخل غرفه العمليات 52.3 ) بنسبه . ( %
