Abstract

Abstract This study tackles the role of the family in the care of patients with schizophrenia, because of its long period of treatment. Which affects the patient's family and the community, where the patient is a danger to himself and society, so the main problem of the study in the problems that faced the families of patients with schizophrenia in dealing with the patient. The objective of the study is to know the role of the family in the care of patients with schizophrenia of methods, techniques and methods used by the family in the care of patients with schizophrenia. The researcher used the descriptive and analytical approach to describe the most important problems of the families of patients with schizophrenia have an impact on society and the family addition to analysis of data from digital to how. The researcher used the social search tools in the data collection of questionnaire and direct observation. The questionnaire applied in Tijani Mahi Omdurman Hospital, and Abdel Aal Idrissi in Bahri- Kubar. The Researcher used in the intended study sample, because the study aimed at specific families amounted to 100 distributed households, 50 families in Tijani Mahi - Omdunnan Hospital, 50 families in Abdul Al Idrisi Hospital ~ Bahri. The study results: Family has the primary role in the care of patients with schizophrenia attention and permanent follow-up care, and that the majority of the families of patients suffering from financial problems affecting patient care and provide the necessary requirements, and that all patients‘ families keen to provide treatment despite many physical problems.
