Vehicular Ad-hoc Network (VANET) has attracted lot of research effort due to its applicability in the areas of road safety, infotainment and driving experience obtainable at a very low cost. The data losses are dependent on the speed at which the nodes are moving within the network, the routing protocol used and the available channel. The main objective of this research is to compare with simulating using OPNET the performance of Ad hoc On Demand Distance Vector (AODV), Optimized Link State Routing (OLSR) and Geographical Routing Protocol (GRP) routing protocols under highway mobility pattern with voice traffic in terms of routing traffic sent and received, end to end delay and throughput. According to simulation results it is clearly observed that GRP protocol performed better than other protocols in terms of routing traffic sent and received and throughput while OLSR has the lowest delay.en_US
