The overall objective of the study is to link the future of the information science to the modern technological developments as an attempt to establish a general comprehensive framework that helps the adoption of Sudan Integrated Information System (SUDANIIS) which is seen as an essential tool in the overall social structure, particularly in the age of information that raises a number of challenges that should be met by all human societies & the developing ones in particular. The general trends of the world community today indicate the crucial radical change that takes place in every aspect of today’s life. Information & easy access to information are seen to a greater extent ,as the crucial elements for achieving general progress . This is based on the fact that during the few decades-to come , the sector of information services will be the most active & effective sector in the country’s economic system . All of the recent dissertation or thesis, addressing the issue of building the information society concluded that the built-in communication process plays a crucial rule in the mobilization of all available information resources, particularly that the communication process of today is being strongly backed-up powerful sending, receiving & sorting technology of information that forms the fundamental basis associated with general progress, knowledge & technology . As the communication process stands mainly on the exchange ol" information & expertise between different social groups, it is important - therefore— to set up a general frame work of mutual concepts & issues that forms the solid basis of information science in its relation with the information system adopted. 1 * The importance of information for decision makers & planers is indisputable, as it provides them with a true comprehensive picture of all aspects of the real & exact situation through the addition of a distinct value to the knowledge they acquire. This is mainly because the various achievements of the information technology provides an easy flow & social distribution of all sorts of knowledge & information . ‘Tow most modern international means that have been recently produced, are now dominating & taking the lead in communication field of our world today.
