Abstract

Abstract Republic of the Sudan Ministry ofHigh Education and Scientific Research El Neelain University College of Post Graduate Studies Department of Library and Information Science Title: An Electronic Information Sources at Higher Education Institutions North Kordofan State "Study of Reality and Planning for the Future" Prepared by: Lmiay El Tag Supervisor: Ghada Taha Mohammed Osman Degree: Supplementary research to obtain Mastens Degree in library and information Science Year: 2014 This study aimed to recognize out an electronic information resources which are available in university libraries in Northern Kordofan State and the importance of the existence of those resources and the extent of using to which students and staff are gained from those sources. Also to identify the problems which face using it and the degree of satisfaction of further or introduce for these resources. The researcher has followed the descriptive survey had to part and case study. The study depend on questionnaire and interview. As a basic tools to gather the information. The study has found a number of the most important results such as: The choice of an electronic sources of information at institutions of higher education of North Kordofan state are not taking into account standards and tools appropriate check as well as non-members of a certain amount of budget for the class of vessel information. The beneficiaries have pointed to the existence of difficulties or obstacles they face when using an electronic sources of information. .3

The most important recommendations which emerged of the study are the following: 1\ The choice of an electronic information resources have to be according to appropriate standards and tools. 2\ Strengthen the lincs of communication and co-operation between the different sections and library in order to achieve the maximum possible benefit from those resources. 3\ Follow development in the rules and standards which are interested in that category from sourccs which are choice, organized and made available. As the researchcr noted the need to hold training sessions for workers libraries in North Kordofan state which specializes in using electronic sources of infonnation and how to handle them
