Abstract
' Abstract ,
This study seeks to deal with the political elites in Yemen
through the period extending from the 26 September Revolution
of 1962 over the Imam royal family in north Yemen, the
independence of south Yemen of the British colonialism on 30
November 1967 , and the Unification of 22 May 1990 between
the north and south of Yemen until the end of period of 2005 .
The researcher tries to present an analytic, documentary
and scientific study which including social and political
phenomenon that deals with the Yemeni social structure and
dividing it into traditional sections of high, middle and lower
classes .
The study also takes with tribal structure and its future,
political roles and doctrinal structure with its effect on the
different elites , In addition, the study deals with the ruling elites
and its relations with the opposition .
These periods are marked by political conflicts among
different forces and elites, most of them tuming into fierce and
armed confrontations that caused the loser to be killed , executed
and escaped, replacing new political elites for old or changing
positions among them , Raising new political elites by means of
peace is rare .
The democracy means, achieving factors and stander of
educations were just a fonnal cover to give the political
legitimacy for those elites .
The military corporation supported by tribes was and still
the strong tool for emerging political elites and their continuity
or replacement .
The summer war of 1994 was a conclusive turning point in
relations between the ruling elites and opposition , In addition,
the summer war also defined the democratic progress and power
sharing by elections and a domination of one political party over
the whole political scene.
