Abstract

Abstract Laser- induced break down spectroscopy (LIBS) is beast and accurate method to analytical the substance. In this work laser induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) technique has been to used to investigate the heavy and toxic metals in white Nile collected from different locations in white Nile ( Aldrader, Alshagra, Almoqran) This method gives a clear picture of the components of water and does not change the nature of the materials. Used the water from different locations in white Nile (Aldrader, Alshagra , Almoqran). These samples irradiated by Nitrogen laser 337.1 nm pulse duration 10ns with pulse energies of (40,100,200,400) mj. The analysis of the spectra was done by using Atomic Spectra Database line of National Institute of Standard and Technology (NIST) and origin lap (8.6). Which showed that the sample contain considerable amounts of neutral atoms like (Fe , Na , Ca , Mg , S, C, N, O,P, Cr, Br, Ti, Ar) . In sample of Al moqran (S3)irradiated by 400mj appeared heavy and toxic metals like (Hg,Pb,Cr,) ,also appeared in sample of Alshagra (S2) irradiated by 40mj and appeared in sample of Aldrader (s1)irradiated by 100mj (Ti).
