| dc.description.abstract | Abstract The Worldwide Interoperability for Microwave Access or WiMAX (as a 4G network) is a promising technology for providing wireless last-mile connectivity. Video over Internet Protocol (video) is one of the rapidly growing technologies. Video is also considered one of the killer applications for WiMAX (as a 4G network) which requires careful design of QoS configurations. The main aim of this research is to study and analyze the performance of video on WiMAX networks (as a 4G network). This has been done using OPNET simulation software program. The investigated parameters include: throughput, load and delay. The results were obtained in terms of tables and charts المستخلص تعتبر تقنية واي ماكس تكنولوجيا واعدة لتوفير الاتصال اللاسلكي. كما تعتبر تقنيات نقل الوسائط المتعددة عبر برتكول الإنترنت من أهم أولويات الجيل الرابع. الهدف الرئيسي من هذا البحث هو دراسة وتحليل أداء نقل الوسائط المتعددة(ملفات - صوت -فيديو) عبربروتوكول الإنترنت على شبكات واي ماكس المتنقلة. وقد تم ذلك من خلال دراسة وتحليل العديد من الجوانب المتصلة بشبكة واي ماكس وتقنيات نقل الملفات والصوت والفيديو عبر بروتوكول الإنترنت مثل: طبقات الخدمة، والتنقل. تشمل عوامل الأداء التي تمت دراستها: معدل معالجة البيانات، والتحميل و الاختلاف في زمن وصول البيانات. وقد تم الحصول على النتائج من خلال تصميم ومحاكاة سيناريوهات مختلفة لشبكة واي ماكس باستخدام برنامج النمذجة والمحاكاة (OPNET Modeler) . | en_US |
