Abstract

Abstract The aim of this study is to identify the psychological stress among the university graduates with visual disabilities, who have not been employed. Using the method of purposive sample, (204) unemployed university graduates with visual disabilities in Khartoum State were chosen, (95) males, (109) females, ranged between 23 and 38 years old. For data collection Dr. Lotfi Abdel Basset psychological stress scale has been used , after been modified and codified to the Sudanese society, by Sadig Abd Al Halim. The Statistical methods used for data analysis are: one-sample and two-sample (t )test , MANOVA test. The following results have been achieved: 1- Psychological stress is high among the university graduates with visual disabilities , who have not been employed. 2- There are no statistically significant differences in the level of psychological stress , among the university graduates with visual disabilities ,who are not employed according to gender (male I female). 3- There are no statistically significant differences in the level of psychological stress, among the university graduates with visual disabilities, who are not employed according to age. 4- There are no statistically significant differences in the level of psychological stress, among the university graduates with visual disabilities ,who are not employed according to years of graduation. 5- There are no statistically significant differences in the level of psychological stress, among the university graduates with visual disabilities, who are not employed according to the type of scientific specialization. Finally , the study concluded number of recommendations and suggestions
