Abstract
ABSTRACT
This research is an attempt to discern the approach of
laboratory studies, their importance and objectives. It also aims at
closely knowing the problems and obstacles facing the use of such
an approach to teaches science in high secondary schools.
This study is useful for improving the teaching of science as
well as it shows the shortage of laboratories equipment materials
and places in high secondary schools. For conducting this study,
the research used the descriptive method. The data of stands were
collected through questiomlaire.
The study came outwith the following results:-
0 Most of the high secondary schools lack the appropriate and
well situated laboratories.
0 Most of the labs technicians are unqualified to under take
their work. '
0 Most of the science subject teachers in high secondary
schools do not have in service training so as to help them
improve their
0 Overloading teaching impact negatively on the lab-based
experimental studies.
0 Large numbers of students in the classrooms hinder the
teachers fiom using the lab-based teaching and training for
students.
