Abstract

Abstract The goal of this research is to find out the relationship between psychological stress and psychosocial compatibility of parents of children with mental disabilities in Khartoum State. To achieve this, the RESEARCHER has used the descriptive linking approach. Research test sample of parents of children with mental disabilities was chosen as a simple randomized sample, and the sample size of 84 . The researcher has applied measurements of stress and psychological ‘adjustment after the confirmation of the psychometric characteristics. To analyze the data , statistical methods were used , the most important of which are one sample , two samples , the Pearson correlation coefficient , analysis of variance Federal (Anova) and coefficient Alvakronbach by the Statistical Package program in the social sciences SPSS . The most significant results are as follows:- 0 By general, the characteristic of psychological pressure among parents of children with mental disabilities in Khartoum state can be hailed as high. 0 By general characteristic of the pressure to conform to the social and psychological parents of children with mental disabilities in Khartoum state can be hailed as high. 0There is a correlation between the stress and the pressures of social psychological adjustment among children with mental disabilities in Khartoum State. vThere are no statistically significant differences in psychological stress in the parents of children with mental disabilities that can be attributed to _ the variable type. 0 There are no statistically significant differences in psychosocial compatibility with the parents of children with mental disabilities that can be attributed to the variable type. 0 There are no statistically significant differences in psychological stress in the parents of children with mental disabilities that can be attributed to the father's variable level of education. 0 There are no statistically significant differences in psychosocial compatibility with the parents of children with mentahdisabilities due to the mother's variable level of education. In conclusion, the researcher has presented procedural recommendations and proposals for further future research
