Abstract
Abstract
This study aims to identify the reasons of weakness skills of reading in
English language in Spine3 curriculum. The study followed the descriptive
analysis method through the survey field for the purpose of collecting
information and basic data which agreed with the requirements of questions
and hypotheses of the research. The community of the study 60 teachers of
English languages teachers. The study used questionnaire as a main tools
of collecting necessary data. The hypotheses of the study represented in :
weakness of the content of Spine Curriculum is the most reason of weak
reading and lack of teacher training , and the way of using the book as a
unique means of teaching and attention of students with other skills more
than reading skill.
The results of the study are : the reason of weak reading skill dwell with the
contents of Spine Curriculum , and lack of training teachers and teachers
used the method of hearing and listening and safe the data more than the rest
of training method and using the book as a unique means and lack of
attention from students to reading skill.
The researcher recommended that Spine Curriculum must be developed to
improve reading and must attention of training the teachers , and must make
variety in the means and method of teaching, and students must read more to
gain skills of reading.
