Abstract

This piece of study aims at the knowledge of the motive of infonnation resources electronically in the Sudan Centre for the Journalistic Services in particular, this is in addition to know the motives and incentives that led the centre staff and beneficiaries there from to utilizing the electronic sources. Added to this, both complications and difficulties have to be known as they face information people when using the electronic sources and whatever it uses. The researcher used a number of research methods so as to satisfying the study requirement when he had to use the historical method, accompanying the historical evolution emerging the information sources, and also the ways they are used, and the redemptive syllabus for data gathering, exposing and analysis in addition to describe the phenomenon, with reciting of the results. As for the treatment of data the researcher has to use the repetition tables and percentages so that the data may be exposed, as well as information regarding the applied study. The researcher also demonstrates the matter as a basic tool so as to gather the data. One of the most significant results the study has reached is as follows: - the percentage of (100%) of the personnel working at the centre (as sample of this study) have knowledge of using the (intemet) as well as research in database while a percentage of (70,3%) of the beneficiaries (who are making use) have such a knowledge at the centre. - Most of the personnel at the centre, as well as the beneficiaries, who prefer to use information sources (the electronic information available at the internet). - The most important factor that encouraged the personnel at the centre, including the beneficiaries therefore, to use the information source (electronically), signifying its importance in covering various matters. This is in addition to the speed in undergoing the search operation and the speedy responding to the quest. - Both the personnel and beneficiaries of the centre have pointed out the difficulties they are encountering whenever they resort to the electronic sources, the most important of which the high financial expense, and the lack of devices there and the cost of maintenance. The researcher has followed the results by some recommendation which he hopes, will find some consideration by those responsible at the Sudan Centre for Joumalistic services and the Administrations of information Institution in Sudan, the most important of which is as follows: - The necessity of holding training courses for infonnation people at the centre as Well as other information institutions take over concerned with the information sources (electronically) and dealing with it. - The recently of admitting the centre in information nets with the centre and information institution as counterpart at the national, continental and international level.
