Abstract
Abstract
The research emanated from the conceptual reality of the education
based on the different study curricula and the extent of the
effectiveness of that education in realization of the different aspects
of the progress for the Somali students. The researcher outlined
many objectives which he will endeavor to realize throughout this
research, the most important of wl1icl1:-
1. study of the core of the problem of different study curricula in
Somalia.
2. study of steps for unification and Somalisation of the study
curricula during the era of the revolution (pros and cons).
3. study of the reality of education during the era of the absence of
the central government.
4. study of efforts rendered to unify the different study curricula of
the consecutive eras of the history of education of Somalia.
The researcher relied in collecting data and information related to
topic of the research 011 the means represented in the references,
researches as well as the scientific studies related to the research in
the theoretical aspects. On the practical aspect, he relied on two
questionnaires; one distributed to a sample of teachers in general
education level and the other to sample of curricula experts and the
educational guides who are versed in curricula, in addition to the
meetings held with a number of existing school headmasters. The
researcher reached many conclusions from the field study
undertaken the most important of which:-
Conclusions:
1. The study curricula accompanied the regular education in the Somalia
since the introduction of the regular education to the Somali people.
2. The reflections of the different study curricula are clearly exemplified
in the characters of those responsible for the educational process at
present since every one of them adopted a foreign study curricula
compatible to his previous orientation.
3. The different study curricula tuidertake to develop the Somali student
from the aspect of knowledge with no social development or craft.
A11d according ‘to these conclusions, the researcher presented the
following reconnnendations.
The necessity of establishment of an educational organ in which all
those responsible for the educational process are unified on condition
that, that organ turdertakes to shoulder all responsibilities of education in
all its aspects.
