dc.description.abstractAbstract This study aimed to find out those who are at risk of developing amblyopia among the preschool children and to find the means to prevent its occurrence. Clinical investigation was carried out on (68) children. Thirty nine (39) were males and twenty nine (29) females. Their age was range between 3 to 5 years. All the subjects were from the central city of Khartoum. All subjects were subjected to ocular examinations. The results were presented in a fomt of frequency distribution tables and analyzed to give the following results: The risk factors indicate that; astigmatism was the major factor (10%) of the subject. Second was the squint and anisometropia (2.9%) for each, while Ptosis reached about (l.5%). Key words: Astigmatism, Anisometropia, Squint, Ptosis, Risk factors.en_US
