Abstract

Abstract This study aims to identify the extent of the availability of electronic journals at the International University of Africa's library by identifying the extent of beneficiaries' satisfaction, the basis for selecting them, the extent to which the library has the infrastructure to provide it, the methods for its availability, and the problems it faces. The researcher used the historical method, and the case study methodology, as well as the questionnaire, personal interview and observation as tools for data collection. The study reached several results, the most important of which are: There are several difficulties facing students in the research process themselves, which are: Not obtaining the results desired by the student, and in terms of the satisfaction of the beneficiaries of the electronic periodical services, most students confirmed that they are satisfied with the electronic periodical services. He pointed out that one of the most important problems facing the availability of electronic journals at the International University of Africa is the inability of researchers to deal with the periodicals databases. Among the most important recommendations: that researchers must be trained to search databases in more than one language, and that the periodicals' databases must be constantly updated with the addition of specialized periodicals in each field, and that an ongoing briefing service must be provided to the beneficiaries of all that was recently received in the periodicals databases, in addition to develop solutions for all the difficulties facing researchers in the periodicals databases so that they can get the results they want with the least effort and time possible. 7 تهدف هذه الدراسة إلى التعرف على مدى توافرها المجلات الإلكترونية في مكتبة جامعة إفريقيا الدولية تحديد مدى رضا المستفيدين ، أساس الاختيار لهم ، إلى أي مدى تمتلك المكتبة البنية التحتية اللازمة لتوفيرها ، طرق توفرها والمشاكل التي تواجهها. استخدم الباحث المنهج التاريخي ودراسة الحالة المنهجية ، وكذلك الاستبيان والمقابلة الشخصية و المراقبة كأدوات لجمع البيانات. توصلت الدراسة إلى عدة نتائج أهمها: هناك العديد من الصعوبات التي تواجه الطلاب في عملية البحث أنفسهم ، وهم: عدم حصولهم على النتائج التي يرغبها الطالب ، ومن حيث رضاء المستفيدين من الالكترونية الخدمات الدورية ، أكد معظم الطلاب أنهم راضون عنها خدمات الدوريات الإلكترونية. وأشار إلى أن من أكثرها المشاكل الهامة التي تواجه توافر المجلات الإلكترونية في جامعة إفريقيا الدولية هي عدم قدرة الباحثين على التعامل مع قواعد بيانات الدوريات. ومن أهم التوصيات: أن الباحثين يجب أن يكونوا تدربوا على البحث في قواعد البيانات بأكثر من لغة ، وذلك يجب تحديث قواعد بيانات الدوريات باستمرار مع إضافة الدوريات المتخصصة في كل مجال ، وأن تكون خدمة إحاطة مستمرة يجب توفيرها للمستفيدين من كل ما تم استلامه مؤخرًا في قواعد بيانات الدوريات ، بالإضافة إلى تطوير حلول لجميع الدوريات الصعوبات التي تواجه الباحثين في قواعد بيانات الدوريات يمكنهم الحصول على النتائج التي يريدونها بأقل جهد ووقت ممكنين.
