Abstract

Abstract This study tried to highlight the economic life, which was prevailing in the regions of Yemen, which was under the rule of the Rasulia State, which stretched from the year “'1 AH / "YA AD and until the year /\°/\ AH / l 5° i, or approximately more than two and one- third centuries, this state was able to unite Yemen , and its influence was extended to include all natural land of Yemen, their importance of this research lies in that it represents a new historical study, if not one of the rare studies dealing with the economic life in Yemen , in a thoughtful and detailed study of one of the brightest periods in the Islamic history of Yemen. The goal of research was to conduct a precise historical study of the aspects of economic activity in Yemen; agriculture, livestock, industry, trade and financial system, and to know the basic components, that led to a boom in this activity, and its reflection on the social situation in Yemen, as well as to know of the renowned economic products of Yemen, which amounted its fame and formed the mainstay of the financial position of Yemen , and was the base of the progress of civilization in Yemen, the study adopted the historical descriptive methodology, which is based on pure historical facts, then comparison was done with analysis, in order to reach the historical statements desired to strength the research. The research is divided in to can introduction, six chapters , conclusion, a range of supplements, and a list of sources and references, the study dealt with the geographical and historical Yemen background, and the political situation in the era of the Rasulia state, agricultural, animal, industrial and commercial activities in Yemen, and to learn basic reasons ,that have led to a boom in these activities ,with the study of the financial system in Rasulia Yemen. The study conclusion was a set of findings and recommendations, the most important ; that Yemen has passed in its Rasulia era , geographical and political unity for a long period of time, perhaps the longest ever in the history of Yemenite states after the advent of Islam, as it witnessed great prosperity and economic recovery, and played a major role in world trade and was an active member and participant in international trade. The researcher recommends academies and researchers, specializing in historical studies, to focus on research in the economic and cultural aspects in the history of Yemen thought its history ,as this represents the mirror that reflects various stages, of national development of Yemen, and to work for the recovery and preservation of the scattered Yemeni heritage around the world .
