Treatment of Contaminated Waste Water in Hospitals

Abstract

المستخلص:- تكمن مشكلة الدراسة في خطورة المياه الملوثة ،ويعود ذلك الى الزيادة السكانية وسوء استخدام المياه. الهدف الاكبر لهذا البحث هو التحقق من تلوث المياه في المستشفيات والتعرف على تكنولوجيا معالجة مياه الصرف الصحي في المستشفيات، والتعرف ايضا على مصادر التلوث،وتقييم مدى مطابقة مياه الصرف الصحي لمعايير الهيئة السودانية للمواصفات والمقاييس وذلك لاستخدامها في مجال الري الزراعي .

تم إختيار محطة الصرف الصحي بالسلاح الطبي في الخرطوم لهذا الغرض ،فقد قام الباحث بفحص عينات من المياه قبل وبعد المعالجة الناتجة عن هذه المحطة وذلك في مختبر البيئة والمياه بالسلاح الطبي.

حيث تم تحليل اربع عينات من مياه الصرف الصحي بالسلاح الطبي. تم عمل تحاليل للعينات لتحديد إختبارات : درجة الحموضة, كمية الاوكسجين الممتص كيميائيا, كمية الاوكسجين الممتص حيويا, كمية المواد الصلبة الذائبة و كمية المواد الصلبة العالقة. تم عرض النتائج في جداول و مخططات في هذه الدراسة و تمت مقارنتها مع المعايير حيث وجد ان نتائج الاختبارات تقع خارج المدي المسموح به حيث تم اقتراح طرق مناسبة للمعالجة و تم وضع الاقتراحات و التوصيات لتحسين الوضع . Abstract: The main problem in the study its hazardous contaminated water, and that refer to the population and bad use of water. The aim of this research is to verify from contaminated water in hospitals and learn the technology of sewage treatment in hospitals, and also know the pollution source, and evaluate how its match with Sudanese standard specifications and measurements to use it in the agricultural irrigation. Many samples have been taken from sewage water at military hospital as an example it’s the one of sewage treatment in Khartoum used for this purpose. The researcher tested some samples from water before and after the processes of water environmental laboratory, taken four samples to be analyzed from waste water, Analysis was done for samples of waste water to determine pH, COD (Chemical Oxygen Demand), BOD5 (Biological Oxygen Demand), (Total dissolved solids) and TSS (Total suspended solids), Results were presented in tables in the body of the research, It is found that the waste water parameters in the effluent are off range of the standards, and the methods used for treatment were investigated, also some suggestions and recommendations were put in order to improve the situation.
