Abstract

Abstract This study addresses the role of social medical sewices provided for prisons . a case study for Alhuda prison . Dar Altaybatt home ol‘repenters ) and Dar Alphetian reformatory ( young boy rel’ormatory ) in Khartoum North , the problem of study is wide spread ol‘ diseases inside the prison and poor health situation and the lack ot“ social medical services . The study addressed a number of questions as what are the most widely spread diseases and what are the preventive services provided‘? What diagnostic services provided‘? What is the treatment services provided for prison‘? Are there any supporting organizations for health programmed‘? And what is the type of support provided by the organizations‘? The research based on historical method or analytical descriptive method and case study as well as means oli data collection with scientific observance. lntervliew and questionnaire the researcher refered to a number of social theories as intellectual approaches to direct the course in analyzing and presentation and it is complimentary theory, role theory and social defense The study is of four chapters study introduction and methodology. The most important result reached by the study is deterioration in health sewices and poor social medical services the major recommendation and suggestion in necessity the role of social medical services among the prisoners and prison administration and focus on its importance of stability of work and assignment ol’ social workers and apply the exemplary rules in treating the prisoners particularly provision (Z2) article (1) ofmedical services.
