Abstract

Abstract This study aims at highlighting the Islamic existence in Abyssinia ( Ethiopia ) which was linked to the Islamic Kingdom model. In order to participate in writing the history of this country. Showing the factors of the expansion of the Islam in it. As .welI as expensing the historical backgrounds. Giving mains points abut Ethiopia on the geographical side. Its population and the religions in which its people entered. _ The main factors reached by _the study was__the pointing out the great effects made by the relationships between the Arabic peninsula and Abyssinia. Which took place for many centuries. This helped the enhancement of the relationships between the -two regions. The entry of Islam after the migration of the noble companions to Abyssinia. That was the first migration in the history of Islam the" noble companions proved their ability to conduct the first dialogue between Islam and Christianity in Africa.'Moreover they were exposed to other factors that led to the expansion of Islam in Abyssinia such "as merchant. The individuals The preachers and students and students without neglecting 0 the one hand the role of the Arab migrants in founding the first Islamic Emirate in Abyssinia and its civilization. Cultural and social role. And one the other the difficulties faced by the Muslims of Abyssinia from the dynasty of Abyssinia which continued to combat .-these Islamic kingdoms and destroy them urged by the dictatorial sprit of the crusade against Islam. Helped in that by the Christian Europe which exeited all efforts to help the Christian kingdom of Abyssinia in all the fields which led to the down fall of the last of these kingdom at the head of which was Imam Ahmed Ibn Ibrahim ( Jerran ), a king.who,had a big role in the expansion of Islam in Abyssinia.
