Abstract

ز Abstract This study aims to throw new light about the nature of the Iraqi-Sudanese relations during the period 1958-1972. This study is one of the most important one because, of its important role in knowing the policies these brother Arab countries, their internal political developments and their effects on the relations and positions between them and how they dealt with the issues of the Arab nation. The researcher tried to explain the importance of the study, which is based on the modernity of the period of time, and also that the relations between the two countries were not limited to the relations of mutual benefit, but the two countries bound by Islam and Arabism. This research consist of introduction, four chapters, conclusion, findings, recommendations and appendix. Chapter one deals with Iraqi-Sudanese relations before 1958. It consists of two sections: the first one the internal developments in 1956 and Iraq's position on them, and the second is the Iraqi-Sudanese relations 1956-1958. Chapter two tables with the political situation in Iraq from 1959-1963 and its impact on the relations between the two countries. The third topic: The political developments in Iraq during1958-1963, The Iraqi-Kuwaiti crisis in 1961 and Sudan's position on it. Chapter three deals with the Iraqi-Sudanese relations in light of the internal and regional political developments 1964-1968 through two topics: First: internal political developments 1964-1968, and second: the position of Iraq and Sudan on the Islamic alliance and the war of 5 June 1967 Chapter four is the Iraqi-Sudanese relations 1968-1972, it represents three aspects: First: the development of the Iraqi-Sudanese relations 1969-1970, which was divided into: the Nimairi coup in 1969 and Iraq's position on it, the position of Iraq from the coup of Hashem Al-Atta and the position of Iraq, the third and final in this research is the Economic and Cultural Relations 1958-1972. Finally I have comes in conclusion, findings ,recommendations and appendices.
