تكمن أهمية الدراسة في ضرورة التعرف علي نشأت وتكوين حزب الله وعلاقاته الإقليمية وما لهذه العلاقات من تأثير علي الإستقرار في الشرق الأوسط ، بإعتبار أن حزب الله حزب متعدد الأوجه يمتلك مؤسسات دينية وإجتماعية وإقتصادية راسخة داخل المجتمع اللبناني وتعتبر هذه المؤسسات مصدر قوته وتميزه بالإضافة إلي قوته العسكرية .

حاولت الدراسة إبراز تاريخ حزب الله ونشأته وطرح نفسه كمقاومة إسلامية ضد الإحتلال والتعرف علي قدرة حزب الله في العمل التنظيمي والعسكري والإعلامي وإلقاء الضوء علي تحالفات حزب الله الإقليمية مع كل من سوريا والفصائل الفلسطينية وإيران وما يقدموه لحزب الله من دعم مادي وأيدلوجي وأثر ذلك علي الإستقرار في الشرق الأوسط ، كما حاول البحث علي التعرف علي التغيرات الأخيرة في المنطقة وما لها من تأثير علي مستقبل الحزب.

وتوصلت الدراسة إلي نتائج من خلال دراسة العلاقة بين الحزب وإيران ،أن الجانب الأيدلوجي في الجانبين لعب دور فعال في توحيد الرؤيا والتوجهات وأن هذه التحالفات هي التي ضمنت الحزب القوة والبقاء كمعادل لإسرائيل ، كما توصلت الدراسة إلي أن هذه التحالفات غير ثابتة فهي قد تتغير وفقاً لتغير المصالح .
