Abstract
Abstract
The purpose of this research is to prepare list of basic competencies for teaching
Arabic langnage in high secondary schools. and to know the importance of any branch
competencies in it’s domains.
For gathering data an instrument was developed. It contain four main domains
(Academic — professinal — personal - and cultural competencies) the major finding of
the study can be stated as follows:
First: The results:
\) There is dis agreement between male teachers and female teachers in ranking
three domains (academic — cultural - and professinal competen cies) while
there is a agreement about personal domain.
Y) There is agreement between sex (male teacher and female teachers) about
the importane of each competence among it’s domain.
Y) There are statistical differences between the limitation importance of each
competences in it’s domains from male teachers point of view.
2) There are statistical differences about the limitation importance of each
competencies in it is domains from female teachers point of view.
<>) There are statistical differences from female side of the limilation
improtanee of academic domain.
'\) There are statistical differences for male side about the limitation importance
of the cultural domain.
V) There are no statistical differences between sex (male » femal) teachers
about limitation importance of personal domain and professional domain. l
A) All the competencies amongl four domains have high mark that means it is
important.
Second: The Suggestions:
Depending on which has been metioned the researcher suggest the following:
t) Teacher’s preparing stablishment must grant the list of competeneies in this
research in programmes of teacher preparing while training or sewing.
Y) The list of competences must be taken in regard and consideration while
evaluating trainees.
V) Using list of competencies in this research by the Arabic super visiors while
giving in structions.
