Abstract
ABSTRACT
The Role of Interpol on combating drugs in development countries
The international criminal police Organization (lCPO -
Interpol), is a unique organization, which is specialized in
controlling crimes, particularly drugs crimes.
The research consists of 4 parts 1 deals with the phases of
creation, and the structure ofthis constitution. It clarifies that the
headquarters is sited in Paris - France, and the national central
bureaus in each Member state it also clarifies that there is a
direct contact between these Sub-regional operation is realized,
in purpose of combating international crimes, as politics,
economics, culture and community, are badly effected. Part 2
tackles drugs, it definition, detection, damages and dangers
which it causes in the developing countries, as politics,
economics, culture and community, are badly effected. Part 3
intrduce the globalization of drugs and narcotics, and the
introduces the effort of international and regional organizations,
for enhenceing drugs control, and sustaining the developing
countries to overcome this danger. Part 4 presents the strategy of
Interpol, and states the rules and principles according to which
the organization and all Nations for combating drugs.
According to the researcher, the role, which the
Organization plays, in exchanging know ledges and
coordinating efforts of police bodies in the member states, is not
effective. Referring to that, I introduce a number of
recommendations as follows:
Sustaining the Organization with the absolute police
liability to control drugs crimes at the international level.
Increasing Intentional Conventions for the same purpose.
Reducing drugs planting and applying International Rules and
Regulation to crack down on offenders .
