Nurse's knowledge Regarding Triage System in Khartoum State Teaching Public Hospital Emergency Departments

| dc.description.abstract | Abstract: Introduction: The emergency department is one of the key and essential departments in a hospital. It is the preliminary point of contact with the hospital for any kind of patient who has a need for immediate interventions. The assurance of the best possible care in emergency situations depends on the implementation of a rapid triage system and strapping knowledge of triage among nurses. The purpose of this study to evaluation of nurses’ knowledge regarding triage system Methodology: is a descriptive cross- sectional, Hospital based- study design. A sample of 168 nurses was selected from the emergency department of Khartoum state main three teaching hospitals by using the method of probability sampling. Data was collected by face to face interview questionnaire. The data was analyzed by statistical packages of social scenes version 16 and was represented in the form of simple frequency table. Results: The common age 20-25 years,(41.7%),It was sum that a (26.8%) of participant were not familiar with term triage, (67.9%) were aware the definition of triage, only (10.7%) of participant was known about triage from university, large number of participants (71.4%) were not using the ABCD approach to prioritize the patients, (62.5%) have poor knowledge about appropriate triage assessment, there is statistical significant with qualification (p value 0.000). Conclusion: Based on the findings of this study concluded that nurses was good knowledge in triage definition and prioritizing, but lack of knowledge regarding allocate proper patients triage category and triage assessment. 6 ملخص: مقدمة:إن قسشم الطشوارئ هوواحشد مشن الادارات الرئيسشية والساسشية فشي المستششفى. وهذه هي النقطة الولية للصتصال مع المستشفى لي نوع من المريض الشذي لشديه الحاجشة إلى صتدخلت فورية. ضمان أفضل رعاية ممكنة فشي حشالت الطشوارئ يعتمشد علشى صتطشبيق نظام الفرز السريع ونشر معرفة الفرز بين الممرضين. الغرض من هذه الدراسة هو صتقييم المعرفة بشأن نظام الفرز فيممرضي أقسام الطوارئ. مناهجية الدراسه:صتصميم الدراسة هو مقطعية وصفي، مستشفى-قاعشدي. وقشد صتشم اختيشار عينة من 168من ممرضي من قسشم الطشوارئ فشي وليشة الخرطشوم الثلةثشة مستششفيات التعليمية الرئيسية باستخدام طريقة أخذ العينات العشوائية. صتم جمشع البيانشات عشن طريشق المقابلة وجها لوجه ومل ء الستبيان. صتم صتحليل البيانات عشن طريشق الحشزم الحصشائية مشن المشاهد الجتماعية اصداره 16وكانت ممثلة في شكل جداول ونسب مئوية. النتائج: اعمار المشترك من الممرضشين وزعشت بيشن 20-25 عامشا( 7.41٪ش ), لقشد كشان 8.26 (٪ (من المشاركين لم صتكن كلمة triage مألوفة بالنسشبه لهشم، (9.67 (٪ا مشدرك صتعريف الفرز، فقط(.710 (٪من المششاركين عرفشو الفشرز مشن الجامعشة، عشداد كشبير مشن المشاركين (4.71 (٪لم صتكن صتستخدم نهج ABCD لعطا ء الولوية للمرضى، (5.62 (٪و كانت معرفتهم ضعيفه حول التقييم المناسب للمرضي في غرفة الفرز. الخلصة: وبنا ء على نتائج هذه الدراسة خلصت إلى أن معرفة الممرضين كانت جيدة في صتعريف الفرز وصتحديد الولويات ، ولكن ضعف المعرفة فيما يتعلق بتخصيص الفئة السليم للمرضى في الفرز الفرز وكيفية التقييم في الفرز . | en_US |
