dc.description.abstractAbstract This study aims at analyzing the listening components of Spine 6 and how they negatively impact the students’ listening comprehension. To fully evaluate the problem, a questionnaire was administered to EFL teachers working at different secondary schools in Khartoum State: Al- Qabas Secondary School, AL-Salam Secondary, School, Burri Secondary Schools for boys, Burri Model Secondary School for Girls and Khartoum International Preparatory School. The questions of the questionnaire, which are 25, have concentrated on the quantity and quality of SPINE 6 listening components and other factors that may impede the listening comprehension such as the teachers, the time and teaching kits. The Findings of the study have proved that the listening components of SPINE 6 are quantitatively and qualitatively insufficient, and the time allotted to teaching SPINE is also not enough. Also, the findings have suggested the unavailability of teaching kits at schools, and the national qualified teachers who can properly teach listening well. In addition, the findings have indicated that literature can compensate for the shortage of listening materials in SPINE 6en_US
